Canadian Brass Congratulates Sonny Kompanek

March 2, 2006 - Toronto

Sonny Kompanek, Chuck's classmate at Eastman and the writer of the Brass's "famous" ballet, Killer Tango, Bolero arrangement, and "Boy Mozart", composed much of the music for the recent motion picture Casanova. The movie soundtrack was #1 on the Billboard Classical Chart throughout February. Bravo to Sonny!

Sonny

Sonny Kompanek has been very busy since writing the epic "Ballet for Brass", "Boy Mozart" and "Killer Tango" for the Brass. He is now a Grammy Award winner and the writer of, what is now considered, a standard text on film music writing and scoring for college students. Congratulations Sonny on your award--what's next for Brass?
