Yamaha® Silent Brass System™

The Canadian Brass is very enthusiastic and excited about the new and improved Yamaha Silent Brass™ Studios

These new models represent a significant breakthrough on what was already a truly revolutionary product.  The improved ST-9 is now 1/4th the size and weight of the previous model, providing you with an inexpensive way to practice anywhere and anytime, without disturbing anyone!

The all-new ST-5 provides a staggering array of tools to give you the edge that you need, incorporating a built-in tuner and metronome, a myriad of digital sound effects, an equalizer, and more. It will digitally record up to 16 seconds of sound, either from your mute, a MC-7 pickup microphone, or a CD player through the AUX-in.  You can then loop this back and play along with whatever you've recorded.  If that's not enough, you can then CHANGE THE SPEED of this recording without affecting the pitch, allowing you to play excerpts and then listen to them at half-speed to identify inaccuracies or inconsistencies.

In addition, through the AUX-in, you can CHANGE THE PITCH (in real-time!) of any incoming music.  The ST-5 is now your best tool for learning all those pesky transpositions, as well as learning those tricky changes in your jazz parts.  Use the ST-5 as your practice studio, then take it on your club gig, hook it up to your amplifier and take advantage of its 32 effects, including auto-wah!  Truly a revolutionary product that can make a significant impact on your improvement!
