Gene's Accident
(Aug 27, 2006)
For the very first time in the Brass' 36 year history,
a turn of events left Gene unable to play in a concert
at the Blossom Festival.
It all began innocuously enough, when Gene decided
to take his bike out for a spin.
A twist of fate led to a twist of the tire, and Gene's
trusty bike went down...
OUCH!!
Try as he might, Gene's cast and the trombone could
not quite get along.
Meanwhile, Shachar Israel, a young trombonist who had
wowed the Brass at the Music Academy of the West, was
leisurely soaking in the sights on his well-deserved
holiday.
A phone call from Gene quickly changed all that! Rising
to the occasion, Shachar whipped out his trombone for
an impromptu rehearsal.
Under Gene's watchful eye (and ears), Shachar was concert-ready
in no time.
With the music under control, the real question is:
can he pull off Gene's getup??

It's showtime!
