Brandon Ridenour joins Trumpet “Dream Team”

Brandon

(August 2006)

Canadian Brass is pleased to announce that Brandon Ridenour has just joined the ranks of their “Trumpet Dream Team”. In his fourth year at the Juilliard School of Music, he has already been recognized as a fine soloist, winning the 2006 International Trumpet Guild Conference solo competition.
The Canadian Brass first met Brandon in the summer of 2005 during their annual residency at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara. Immediately recognizing his outstanding classical performance, it was a surprise and pleasure for the members of the Brass to hear his abilities in the jazz idiom. Brandon’s flexibility in performing styles makes him an ideal choice to join the Brass on stage.
Brandon’s first two engagements as part of the Trumpet Dream Team will take him to Poland at the end of August for a special festival appearance, followed by a September tour marking the Brass’ long-awaited return to China, and a Canada tour. Canadian Brass welcomes Brandon to the experience of playing for their wonderful friends and fans the world over.
